1. Nature of the service

LUMIS HR ("the Service") is an informational reference and workflow-support tool for human-resources professionals. The Service is developed and operated by LUMIS HR Solutions LLC ("the Company"). LUMIS AI™ is the Company's proprietary workforce AI readiness discipline and knowledge framework; lumisai.co is the official website for the LUMIS AI™ discipline and Academy. The Service does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for a licensed attorney, legal counsel, certified compliance firm, or your organization's own HR policies. No attorney–client or professional–client relationship is created by using the Service.

2. AI-generated content

Answers, drafts, summaries, scores, and recommendations are generated by automated systems from documents in your library and public-domain federal documentation. AI output may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You are solely responsible for verifying every citation against the official source and for cross-referencing with qualified legal counsel before executing disciplinary actions, terminations, layoffs, hiring decisions, compensation changes, accommodations, or policy changes. The Service is designed to keep a human in the loop and will not issue definitive employment decisions.

3. Human validation required

All outputs require independent human validation. You agree not to rely on the Service as the sole basis for any employment decision and to apply your own professional judgment and your organization's policies and legal review procedures.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of documents you upload or import. You grant LUMIS HR Solutions LLC a limited license to store, process, and index that content for the purpose of providing the Service to your organization. You represent that you have the right to upload the content and that it contains no personal health information or other data you are not permitted to share.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to make automated employment decisions without human review, to discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic, to process data unlawfully, or to attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The LUMIS HR App, including its visual interface, design elements, interactive quiz modules, custom workflow structures, and the 'AI in HR Manual' content, is the exclusive intellectual property of LUMIS HR Solutions LLC ('the Company'). LUMIS HR and LUMIS AI™ — including the LUMIS AI–HR Ecosystem™, the LUMIS AI Across Employee Lifecycle Model™, the LUMIS AI Governance Framework™, and the LUMIS Intelligence Loop™ — are products and intellectual property of the Company. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the platform for informational and internal workflow support purposes. Users are strictly prohibited from copying, reverse-engineering, scraping, mirroring, or extracting the underlying vector database structure or source code of the application. Unauthorized use or reproduction of the 'LUMIS HR' name, logos, or proprietary software logic will result in immediate termination of access and legal action to the fullest extent of the law.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LUMIS HR Solutions LLC and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any employment-related claims, penalties, back pay, or losses arising from reliance on the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. When we do, you will be asked to review and accept the updated version before continuing to use the Service.
